LifeSwitch Community Trust – Lower Hutt, North Island This role exists to lead High School aged Youth to connect with God and grow in their relationship with Him. We already have a thriving Youth Ministry and are now looking for someone to lead it into an exciting future. You will be someone who easily connects and builds rapport with youth and their families; creates programmes that youth love to be involved with; builds a passionate and united leadership team; casts vision for what the ministry can be and ensures that faith is being developed in the youth. Key responsibilities Oversee and be responsible for our two main youth programmes: Fuse and Fuse+. Create a teaching plan in line with the key teaching principles Create connection opportunities and events for youth where they can simply hang out Play a significant role at Camp Survivor Connect with and build rapport with local High Schools Follow up with youth and families who are new to LifeSwitch to help them integrate in Build relationships with parents and caregivers Create and oversee policies and procedures so we always create a safe and healthy environment for our people Work with the Next Gen Team to ensure we are winning in all areas of Next Gen Ministry, helping out as required Ensure that in the youth programming the environment is appealing, presentation is engaging, and content is helpful About you Committed to your own faith journey and spiritual growth A passionate believer of the LifeSwitch mission and vision Passionate about seeing young people find and develop faith A natural people person who connects with others through warmth and humble confidence A believer in the potential that resides within every teenager Comfortable working in a Next Gen Team and able to connect with those in these age groups Proven experience in connecting with and bringing positive change in young people A passion to reach those who are far from God Strong presentation and facilitation skills Experience in leading, supporting, encouraging and engaging volunteers What we Offer The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the Next Generation and their whānau The opportunity to use your working hours to make a significant difference and find real purpose in what you do Already established outreach opportunities A church community that is incredibly committed to youth ministry A brand new, purpose built facility that will be completed at the end of this year A supportive environment for professional and spiritual growth Competitive salary and flexible working conditions Applicants must have NZ residency or a current valid NZ work visa and be currently residing in New Zealand.
