Ngākōroa School | Years 0–8 | Term Time Only | 18.5 hours per week Come and be part of our kura Ngākōroa School is a growing full primary school, and we are looking for a warm, capable and organised School Administrator for our front desk. At Ngākōroa, relationships matter. We are looking for someone who wants to be part of our kura, contribute to our culture and help us provide a fantastic experience for our tamariki, whānau and community. Experience in administration, customer service, first aid or school management systems would be an advantage, but we are happy to support the right person to learn. We are looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with children and a diverse community Has initiative and can contribute well to a team Has excellent organisation and time-management skills Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing Has strong attention to detail and is able to work independently Is calm, practical and able to respond well when the unexpected happens Shares our values of Mātauranga, Manawanui and Kaitiakitanga The role includes: Welcoming whānau, students and visitors at our front desk Answering phone calls and responding to emails Processing new student enrolments Recording and following up student attendance Providing first aid and care for students Managing school uniform stock and inventory Supporting our staff with day-to-day administration Pitching in with the many varied jobs that are part of life in a growing school! Ideal hours: 8-11 Mon, Tuesday, Thursday Friday and 8-3 Wednesday. Flexibility with these hours can be discussed with the successful applicant. There may also be opportunities for additional casual hours from time to time. The position will be paid according to the NZEI Support Staff In Schools Collective Agreement. It is likely to be within Grade 2 - 3 of the Administration Support Staff Work Matrix Table, step dependent on the previous experience of the successful applicant.
