Coordinating the day-to-day activities of the Transport team, including dispatchers and drivers. Providing frontline support and guidance to the transport team, helping resolve operational issues as they arise. Completing transport invoicing and prepare information for approval. Coordinating vehicles and units for servicing, repairs and Certificate of Fitness (COF) requirements. Working closely with the workshop to ensure servicing, repairs and operational requirements are coordinated effectively. Following up with suppliers regarding parts, pricing, availability and scheduling. Supporting workshop administration and helping to maintain accurate systems and records. Providing coverage for annual leave and sick leave across the transport function when required. Supporting dispatch operations, including occasional Saturday morning coverage. Maintaining strong communication between transport, dispatch, drivers, workshop teams and suppliers. Assisting with systems administration and ensuring transport information remains accurate and up to date. Identifying opportunities to improve processes and supporting continuous improvement across transport operations. Responding professionally and effectively to day-to-day complaints, issues and operational challenges. In this role, success means keeping the transport operation connected, organised and moving. You'll ensure dispatchers and drivers have the support they need, vehicles are available and maintained, workshop requirements are followed up, invoices and systems are accurate, and operational issues are resolved quickly. Qualifications A full New Zealand Driver Licence. Approximately 5 years' experience in transport, logistics, dispatch or operational coordination. Previous experience supervising or coordinating an operational team. Experience with systems administration, preferably Transport Management Systems, Oracle, Container Chain or similar. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, including functions such as VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. Excellent organisational and communication skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. A practical, solutions-focused approach to operational challenges. The resilience to remain calm and professional when dealing with pressure, complaints and unexpected issues. A strong work ethic and high level of integrity. You will be someone the team can rely on when challenges arise — taking ownership, finding solutions and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
