We’ve recently expanded our Morrinsville workshop and are looking for an experienced Welder/ Fitter/ Fabricator to join our team in a full-time role. This is a hands‑on role working across new builds, repairs, and maintenance on trucks and heavy equipment. Join a stable, well‑established transport business with a modern fleet and varied work. What you’ll be doing Fabrication and assembly of new truck and trailer builds (bulk tippers and augers) Working from drawings to produce accurate, high‑quality work Maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, forklifts, utes and heavy equipment Strip‑down, repair, and reassembly of components Keeping all work compliant with health & safety and workshop standards Hours Minimum 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm) Half‑day Saturdays on a roster What we’re looking for Relevant engineering trade qualification or minimum 3 years’ hands‑on experience Competent in MIG welding (mild steel) Competent in aluminium MIG/TIG welding Able to read and work from drawings Welding tickets or willingness to gain certification Full NZ driver licence (Class 1 minimum – Class 4/5 an advantage) You’ll be a good fit if you’re: Reliable – you show up and get the job done Practical – you can think on your feet and solve problems Skilled – confident with fabrication and welding work Independent – able to work without constant supervision A team player – easy to work with and communicate well Safety focussed – you do things properly, not the quick way Modern, newly expanded workshop Plenty of varied work across builds, repairs, and maintenance Stable, full‑time hours Competitive pay Supportive, down‑to‑earth team environment Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa. #J-18808-Ljbffr
