As demand for digital adoption and user enablement continues to grow, they are investing in a dedicated training capability and seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to drive its next phase of growth. Why this role matters This is far more than a traditional training role. You will become the face of the organisation's training practice, delivering engaging learning experiences while helping shape, develop, and commercialise the training function. You'll have the opportunity to influence how customers adopt technology, improve productivity, and maximise the value of their Microsoft investments. The successful candidate will initially take ownership of the entire training capability, with the opportunity to grow the function and potentially build a team as the practice expands. What you'll lead & influence Reporting into senior leadership, you will be responsible for three key areas: Training Delivery Facilitate engaging instructor-led training sessions, both online and in person Deliver training to professional audiences across a range of industries Conduct customer enablement programmes focused on Microsoft modern workplace technologies Lead workshops, webinars, presentations, and technology adoption initiatives Adapt content and delivery styles to suit varying customer needs and skill levels Developing the Training Practice Create and continuously improve training materials, guides, and learning resources Develop scalable training solutions including online learning content and digital resources Maintain training environments and learning collateral Identify opportunities to enhance customer engagement and training effectiveness Stay current with emerging Microsoft technologies and AI innovations Growing the Business Partner closely with sales and technical teams to support customer success Identify opportunities to expand training services and generate additional revenue streams Contribute to the strategic growth of the training function Help establish a profitable and scalable training practice within the business What you bring We're interested in speaking with candidates who are confident facilitators, strong communicators, and passionate about helping professionals get the most from technology. You will ideally bring: Proven experience delivering training to business professionals Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills The ability to engage and hold the attention of audiences throughout extended training sessions Experience developing training materials, user guides, or learning content Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills A commercial mindset and desire to contribute to business growth Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications Understanding of modern workplace technologies and collaboration platforms Experience with Microsoft Copilot or AI-enabled workplace tools would be highly advantageous A current New Zealand driver's licence Candidates from corporate training, technology adoption, learning & development, digital enablement, Microsoft consulting, customer success, or professional services backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
