They are a market leader in the financial services platform space. But behind every cutting-edge wealth management platform is the invisible machinery that makes it run—the cloud infrastructure, IT security, and internal systems. This role exists to ensure that central technical engine operates smoothly, with efficiency and speed. You will be required to keep everything running as well as driving platform evolution and change. The "What"\ Reporting directly to the CTO, you will step into a leadership role at the intersection of technology, security, and people leadership. You will directly manage a team of 5 Systems, Cloud, and DevOps Engineers. Key focus areas include: Cloud Infrastructure & Delivery: Drive the production cloud roadmap (Azure/AWS). You’ll balance scalability, cost, and security while giving developers the tools and pipelines () to release software safely and frequently. Team Leadership & Coaching: Serve as a mentor first. You'll support an established team of 5, clearing blockers, encouraging curiosity, and maintaining a healthy, high-trust team culture. Security & Operations: Oversee internal IT systems, hardware fleets, service desk escalation paths, and vulnerability management while acting as the technical lead for external IT audits. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with business development and operations teams to streamline new client onboarding's and continuous platform updates. The "Who"\ You’ll be a leader who can manage the day to day operations and support the team, as well as give technical guidance and direction accordingly. What you’ll bring to the table: Technical Leadership Experience: 6+ years in software or technology operations, including 2+ years leading platform, cloud, or DevOps engineering teams. Production Cloud Ownership: Hands-on experience owning a production cloud environment (AWS or Azure) with a strong eye for resilience, performance, and cost management. Release Automation Expertise: Deep appreciation for release automation, tooling, and safe deployment practices. Pragmatic Mindset: Curiosity to explore new technologies coupled with a methodical approach to root-cause problem solving. Strong Communication: The ability to translate complex technical requirements across business units and build trust quickly. (Financial Services or wealth management experience is a distinct advantage, but strong engineering leadership principles matter most!)
