After-School Youth Support Workers Wanted Manawatu Contract or Temp We are looking for motivated, compassionate, empathetic people to work alongside youth with disabilities after school, in their homes and out in the community to live their best life. Support our client with their daily activities of living Be part of team that care Variety of shifts and opportunities across the Manawatu Part time shifts early mornings, afternoons - can work around your availabilities and commitments Care on Call provides support to people within their homes after injury, illness or just to make their lives easier. To be considered a great fit with Care on Call you need to: be a genuinely compassionate, caring, professional have a full or restricted NZ driver licence Have some weekend availability and after school hours Have experience working with youth or in current study be qualified with Health and Wellbeing levels preferred but not compulsory Be a great communicator and be able to use a variety of communication strategies (e.g. social media, texting, non-verbal communication aids) Have initiative and enjoy working with youth Be willing to continually up skill your knowledge by attending information and training opportunities. Experience with Neurodiversity is a bonus, training provided Be able to work in a role that is akin to a combination of life-coaching, support work, companionship and being motivational Be able to work within a framework that celebrates the strengths of the client and proactively support them to live their good life #J-18808-Ljbffr
