Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. We're on the lookout for a Management Accountant to join our Auckland Head Office on a fixed-term, full time contract, becoming the finance brain behind our McOpCo (company-owned) restaurants. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Development, you'll own the month-end result, keep our numbers honest, and turn the data into insights that genuinely change how our restaurants perform. This isn't a role where you'll be stuck behind a spreadsheet. You'll be the go-to expert on restaurant profitability and controls – running profit walk-throughs, coaching Restaurant Managers and crew, partnering with our McOpCo Operations Lead on strategy, and managing budgets, projections and CAPEX. One day you're deep in a balance sheet reconciliation, the next you're in a restaurant helping the team understand what drives their bottom line. THE PERSON Degree qualified, with a CA qualification a bonus (but not a deal breaker) 2–5 years' corporate experience in a financial role – management accounting or financial analysis Advanced Excel skills and confidence across PowerPoint, Word and Outlook A sharp analytical mind – you spot the story behind the numbers and can explain it simply Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence at all levels A natural relationship builder who's just as comfortable in a restaurant as in a boardroom Organised and self-driven, juggling month end, projections and projects without dropping a ball Adaptable and solutions-focused – you thrive when priorities shift A coaching mindset, happy to upskill others on financial controls and profitability Restaurant or retail knowledge (labour scheduling, inventory control, food cost variance, cashflow) would be a real advantage. What's in it for you? A globally recognised brand on your CV and experience you can't get anywhere else Real visibility – you'll work directly with our senior leaders and our Sydney-based finance team, with your insights landing in front of decision makers Genuine variety – finance, operations, projects, supplier negotiations and training all in one role The chance to own a piece of work end to end and leave a real mark on how our restaurants perform A supportive, down-to-earth Head Office team that takes the work seriously (but not themselves) A competitive salary and a culture built on our values – Serve, Inclusion, Integrity, Community and Family #J-18808-Ljbffr
