Commercial Visual Merchandiser - Shine On

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Visual Merchandiser to own the visual direction of our Auckland stores and support our wider retail network. This is a hands-on role that combines creativity with commercial thinking. You'll be responsible for bringing the Shine On brand to life through inspiring store environments, while ensuring product presentation supports customer experience, stock movement, and sales performance. Working closely with our Retail, Operations, Marketing, and Purchasing teams, you'll create visual strategies that make our stores easy to shop, engaging for customers, and unmistakably Shine On. This role is part-time Mon-Friday, 25 hours a week. This role would suit an experienced VM who enjoys having ownership and influence while maintaining flexibility. Key responsibilities Create inspiring visual experiences by styling mannequins, windows, feature tables, and key selling areas to showcase new arrivals and hero products Create visual stories that inspire customers and highlight Shine On's unique brand personality Develop and maintain store planograms that support product flow and sales performance Use sales, stock, and customer insights to inform merchandising decisions Identify opportunities to improve product visibility, sell-through, and customer journey Partner with Purchasing to ensure key categories and campaigns are visually supported Work with store teams to adapt displays based on customer behaviour and store performance Provide visual merchandising direction and support across Auckland stores through regular store visits Train and coach store teams to maintain visual standards between VM visits Lead seasonal floor sets, launches, and promotional changes About you Previous experience in a Visual Merchandising role (essential) Strong styling and product presentation skills Experience creating or implementing store planograms Understanding of retail performance, stock flow, and sales drivers Strong organisation and ability to manage multiple locations Confidence working independently and taking ownership Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence store teams A practical, hands-on approach including moving fixtures, mannequins, shelving, and stock A strong visual eye but understanding of the importance of commercial outcomes Ability to balance creativity with planning and strategy About us At Shine On, we believe fashion is about so much more than what you wear.
