Canvas Fabricator We’re on the lookout for a skilled Canvas Fabricator to join a busy and growing PVC shade screen and canvas manufacturing team in Napier. This is a hands-on role in a well-equipped indoor workshop where you’ll be involved in producing high-quality canvas and PVC products including awnings, shade sails, screens, and other specialised items. If you enjoy practical work and take pride in producing quality craftsmanship, this could be a great opportunity. Location Napier Start date Immediate start for the right person Pay rate $32.00 per hour – paid weekly The role You’ll be involved in a variety of fabrication tasks in a supportive workshop environment. Your day-to-day work will include: Marking, measuring, cutting and sewing canvas and PVC materials Hot air and high frequency (HF) welding Assembling finished products Carrying out quality control checks before dispatch Keeping accurate records for completed jobs Working to deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards Maintaining tools and company equipment Communicating and collaborating with team members Assisting with requests from new and existing clients What we’re looking for Experience in canvas fabrication or a similar trade Expirience in sewing, preferrably on a commercial or industrial scale Physically fit and able to perform relatively heavy lifting Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship Full driver’s licence Good written and verbal communication skills Reliable team player with a strong work ethic NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa What’s in it for you Weekly pay Immediate start for the right person Potential for ongoing work Indoor workshop environment Work that makes a real-world difference Be careful - Don’t provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
