Alignz Recruitment is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for a 7-day industrial shutdown in the Bay of Plenty. What's on Offer 7-day shutdown project Competitive hourly rates Accommodation provided 7th of September Opportunity to join future shutdowns and maintenance projects across New Zealand About the Role You'll be working as part of an experienced shutdown team carrying out mechanical maintenance on heavy industrial plant. Duties may include: Mechanical maintenance and repairs Equipment strip-downs and rebuilds Bearing replacement Gearbox and pump maintenance Conveyor maintenance Coupling alignment Mechanical installations Working safely under shutdown schedules To Be Successful You'll Have Trade Qualification in Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent experience) Previous shutdown or heavy industrial maintenance experience Experience working on fixed plant equipment Strong fault-finding and mechanical aptitude Ability to read engineering drawings Strong commitment to Health & Safety Full NZ work rights Full NZ Driver Licence preferred Essential Tickets Working at Heights (preferred) Confined Space (preferred) Site Safe (advantageous) Tools Required Applicants must provide their own mechanical fitting tool kit suitable for shutdown work, including general hand tools required to carry out mechanical fitting tasks safely and efficiently. Location This project is based in the Bay of Plenty . Auckland applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
