Cha Panda is a fast-growing tea beverage brand known for freshly brewed tea, hand-crafted fruit teas and premium milk tea. Our Auckland store is a busy, high-volume outlet serving a diverse customer base. We are looking for a skilled Barista to join our team and help maintain the drink quality and service standards our brand is built on. Key responsibilities Prepare and serve the full beverage range to brand recipe and presentation standards, including espresso-based coffee, freshly brewed tea bases, milk teas, fruit teas and specialty blends Operate and maintain espresso machines, tea brewing equipment, blenders, sealing machines and fructose dispensers Cook and prepare toppings and add-ons (tapioca pearls, jellies, puddings, fresh fruit) to required texture and holding-time standards Greet customers, take and process orders, provide product recommendations and handle payments via POS and EFTPOS Monitor beverage quality, sugar and ice levels, and consistency across every order Maintain stock rotation, complete daily par-level checks and report shortages to the Store Manager Clean and sanitise equipment, benches and service areas in line with Food Control Plan requirements Assist with training new team members on recipes and equipment use Skills and experience required Demonstrated ability to operate espresso and beverage equipment to a consistent standard in a high-volume setting Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices Relevant experience as a Barista or in beverage preparation in a café, tea shop or quick-service environment, or a relevant Level 4 qualification preferred, however, they are not mandatory.
