Jay 2023 Limited operates a retail store committed to providing convenient, customer-oriented services and products. We are seeking a Store Assistant to join our team in Tokoroa . The successful candidate will contribute to delivering a positive customer experience and supporting daily store operations in a fast-paced retail environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist customers by answering product-related queries and helping them find items throughout the store. Restock shelves and maintain product displays to ensure items are organised, available, and presented neatly. Rotate inventory and check product expiry dates to maintain freshness and reduce stock wastage. Process customer purchases through the cash register, including cash and EFTPOS payments, accurately and efficiently. Receive deliveries, check incoming stock, and arrange products in storage and designated display areas. Maintain a clean and organised store environment by keeping shelves, aisles, and customer areas tidy. Review product expiry dates regularly and manage stock rotation to maintain quality standards. Support the preparation of promotional displays and arrange special offers when required. Check product labels and shelf tickets to ensure pricing information is accurate and updated when needed. Work effectively with team members to assist with daily store activities and deliver a positive customer experience. Follow company procedures and adhere to workplace health and safety requirements. Maintain a safe workplace by ensuring aisles are clear and reporting any potential hazards promptly. Required to work for a minimum of 30 hours per week and you will be paid between $24 to $28 per hour. Requirements for the role : Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience in customer service or retail environment. Flexible and available to work rostered shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods as required. Hardworking with a positive attitude and commitment to delivering quality work. Reliable, well-organised, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Able to pass a pre-employment drug test.
