Located in Ōtautahi | Christchurch, Aotearoa | New Zealand 5 weeks annual leave +5 days university holidays Generous superannuation provisions (up to 6.75% employer contribution) Āu Mahi | What You Will Do As the Department Administrator, you will provide high-quality administrative support across the Emergency Management and Business Continuity and Property and Campus Services teams. This varied role is central to ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the department, supporting key business functions, coordinating activities, maintaining accurate records, and delivering professional customer service to internal and external stakeholders. You'll coordinate meetings and training sessions, prepare documentation and reports, maintain document management systems and databases, manage correspondence, and provide administrative support during Incident Management Team activations. Working closely with a diverse range of staff, you'll help improve administrative processes while contributing to the University's emergency management and property operations. You can confidently manage competing priorities, maintain a high level of accuracy, and build positive working relationships with a wide range of people. You will also be able to demonstrate experience in: Providing administrative support within a medium to large organisation. Coordinating meetings, managing documentation, maintaining databases, and producing high-quality reports and correspondence. Using Microsoft Office applications and document management systems to support efficient business operations. Delivering excellent customer service and communicating effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders. Managing multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional organisation and attention to detail. Working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
