For more information on moving to Taupo check outthis linkwww.movetotaupo.co.nz Day to day responsibilities: Build andmaintainstrong, trusted relationships with a diverse portfolio of clients. Prepare annual financial statements and supporting working papers for a range of business entities. Complete income tax returns and ensure compliance with current tax legislation. Prepare GST returns, provisional tax calculations, and other taxation requirements. Assistclients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial planning. Produce meaningful management reports and provide insights to support business decision-making. Work with cloud-based accounting software, including Xero and related applications. Liaise with the IRD and other external agencies on behalf of clients whenrequired. Ensure all work is completed accurately, efficiently, and within agreedtimeframes. Maintain up-to-date client records and documentation while meeting professional and compliance standards. Contribute to a collaborative team environment and provide outstanding customer service. Support senior accountants and managers with advisory projects and other accounting assignments as needed. Our ideal candidate will bring to the table: At least 3 years' experience in a New Zealand public practiceCAaccounting environment. A strong understanding of accounting principles and New Zealand tax, along with confidence using Xero and Microsoft Excel. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative approach to working in a team. The ability to stay organised, prioritise effectively, and manage multiple deadlines.
