Practice Manager

Otumoetai Doctors are seeking a proactive and organised Practice Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our General Practice, supporting our clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional patient care. The Practice Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the practice, with responsibility for staff leadership, operational and financial management, compliance, workforce planning, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role is a 0.8 FTE and coordinates the majority of non-clinical functions within the practice while fostering a positive, collaborative workplace culture. Working closely with the Directors, Clinical Nurse Lead and Admin Manager, the Practice Manager will provide leadership across the practice and help ensure effective systems, strong communication and the ongoing development of our services. Key responsibilities Lead the day-to-day operations of the General Practice Support clinical and administrative teams to deliver exceptional patient care Manage staff leadership and team development Oversee operational and financial management Ensure compliance with privacy, health and safety, and quality frameworks Coordinate workforce planning and recruitment Coordinate non-clinical functions within the practice Foster a positive, collaborative workplace culture Ensure effective systems and strong communication across the practice About you Strong people leadership and team development skills Excellent organisational and time management abilities Experience with HR, recruitment and workforce coordination Sound understanding of privacy, compliance, health and safety, and quality frameworks Strong communication and relationship management skills Knowledge of PHO and primary care funding initiatives Confidence using information systems and software The ability to manage competing priorities, identify opportunities for improvement, and maintain a high standard of professionalism and patient focus Previous management experience within a healthcare, primary care, or related environment is preferred About us Otumoetai Doctors is a General Practice committed to delivering exceptional patient care through effective operational management and a collaborative workplace culture. #J-18808-Ljbffr
