Port of Tauranga is New Zealand’s largest port and international freight gateway. Our Container Terminal (TCT) based at Sulphur Point offers a 24-hour, seven-day service for ship planning, ship operations, marshalling, on-board stevedoring and reefer services. We’re looking for a Digital Analyst to join our Digital Services team and help bridge the gap between business needs and smart digital solutions. In this role, you’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business to translate problems into clear requirements, actionable insights and well‑designed solutions that support transformation, automation and data‑driven decision making. What you’ll be doing As a Digital Analyst, you’ll play a key role across the full lifecycle of digital initiatives. This includes: Partnering with business stakeholders to understand, analyse and document business requirements Translating needs into functional specifications, user stories and process flows Supporting discovery phases and contributing to solution design across digital, automation and data projects Analysing existing business processes and identifying opportunities for improvement, including AI‑enabled solutions Working closely with project managers, developers, engineers and vendors to ensure quality delivery Supporting testing, user acceptance and change activities to ensure solutions deliver real value What you’ll bring We’re looking for someone who is analytical, collaborative and comfortable working across both business and technical environments. You’ll ideally have: 5+ years’ experience in business analysis within digital, technology or transformation environments A strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) Proven experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, functional documentation and user stories The ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders Experience using tools such as Microsoft DevOps, Confluence and Teams Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities A customer‑focused mindset and a commitment to high‑quality outcomes Experience or exposure to automation or AI initiatives will be highly regarded. #J-18808-Ljbffr
