HSE Advisor

About the Role Working closely with senior leadership, branch teams, and operational managers, this is a hands‑on, national role focused on driving safety, compliance, and continuous improvement across a multi‑site environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting our branches across New Zealand, ensuring consistent safety standards while partnering with managers to build capability and accountability. This role will see you coaching teams, supporting operations, and embedding practical safety outcomes. In addition to HSE responsibilities, you will also support the safe management of fleet, plant, and equipment across the business, ensuring compliance, maintenance oversight, and operational safety standards are consistently met. Key Responsibilities Support the delivery and monitoring of Konnect HSE and wellbeing programs across a national, multi‑site network Provide practical advice and coaching to managers and team members on safe work practices, compliance, and risk management Assist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions Conduct audits, site inspections, and risk assessments across branches, identifying hazards and driving continuous improvement Promote and embed a strong safety culture, encouraging proactive behaviours and accountability at all levels Maintain accurate safety records, reporting, and compliance in line with legislation and Group standards Support the management and compliance of fleet, plant, and equipment, including safety checks, maintenance coordination, and risk controls Why Join Us? Ideally, you will have: Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health and Safety (or working towards) Experience in an HSE Advisor or similar role within a multi‑site or operational business Strong understanding of WHS legislation and compliance requirements Experience working with fleet, plant, and equipment safety (highly regarded) Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A practical, down‑to‑earth approach with the ability to influence and coach stakeholders About Konnect New Zealand Konnect New Zealand is a leading national supplier of fasteners, industrial products, and technical solutions, supporting customers across construction, manufacturing, mining, and infrastructure sectors.
