About the Role | Mō te Tūranga We have a range of permanent part-time positions available, offering flexible shifts that can work well around study, family commitments, or other responsibilities. Support work is a great fit for healthcare or medical students, people returning to the healthcare workforce, or anyone with relevant healthcare experience looking for part-time hours. You will support clients in their own homes and in the community, helping them stay independent, connected, and living life on their terms. What You’ll Do | Ngā Mahi Provide personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Support clients with daily routines and household tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation Assist with appointments, errands, and community activities Monitor and report changes in health and wellbeing Maintain accurate records and follow care plans Build respectful, trusting relationships with clients About You | Ko Wai Koe You will be someone who: Is caring, patient, and genuinely enjoys helping others Builds strong relationships and treats people with dignity and respect Is reliable, adaptable, and able to work independently Communicates clearly and works well as part of a team You will also need: To live within the Bream Bay area (a requirement of the role) A full New Zealand driver’s licence and reliable vehicle Previous experience in support work, caregiving, or healthcare - ideally with clients who have complex needs.
