The Opportunity We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer with strong experience across cloud infrastructure, Linux environments, and network engineering. This is a hands-on role supporting complex, mission-critical systems in a large enterprise environment. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure across on-premises and cloud platforms. This role is for someone who enjoys variety and can work across cloud, Linux, and network domains without being siloed. What You'll Do Design, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure (Azure / AWS) Manage and optimise Linux-based systems (RHEL, Ubuntu, or similar) Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPNs Automate infrastructure tasks using scripting (Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible) Support infrastructure security, patching, and compliance activities Collaborate with application, security, and platform teams to deliver reliable services Participate in an on-call roster and incident response when required Contribute to architecture design and continuous improvement initiatives What We're Looking For Essential Experience & Skills: Proven experience as a Senior Systems Engineer or similar role Strong cloud experience (Azure and/or AWS) Deep Linux administration skills (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) Network engineering experience - routing, switching, firewalls, load balancing Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation) Scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills Good understanding of security best practices and NZISM (desirable) Personal Attributes: Self-sufficient and delivery focused Comfortable working in a high-trust, high-stakes environment Strong communicator - can explain technical issues to non-technical stakeholders PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE NEW ZEALAND WORKING RIGHTS #J-18808-Ljbffr
