This role is a key part of our carbon fibre solutions used across marine, aerospace, defence and high-performance applications. Our Quality Engineer role is a full-time role, based in our office and factory site in Rosebank Road, Avondale, Auckland. You will work within an office team of 20 and a greater team of 65. The Role: The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring products are manufactured and inspected in accordance with customer, regulatory and company requirements. This is a hands-on manufacturing quality role requiring a technically competent individual with proven experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing environment. The Quality Engineer works closely with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Customers to ensure products consistently meet specification and quality standards. What you will do: Product and process quality control. Ensuring products are manufactured complying with approved drawing, specifications, work instructions and customer requirements. Support of incoming, in-process and final inspection activities. Develop and maintain inspection plans, control plans and quality checklists. Lead investigation of internal and external non-conformances. Facilitate root cause analysis using recognised methodologies such as 5 Why, Fishbone analysis, Fault Tree analysis and 8D. Provide daily support on quality matters on the factory floor. Data analysis and reporting of quality performance data. Direct supplier quality audits, non-conformance and corrective actions. Support compliance with C-Tech's Quality Management System. Promote a culture where quality is the responsibility of every employee. Experience required for this role: A degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Material or related technical disciplines. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a hands-on quality role within a manufacturing environment. Experience working within a formal quality management system, for example ISO 9001, AS9100. Work experience in aerospace, marine, defence or advanced manufacturing industries. Experience in composites manufacturing an advantage. Technical skills required for this role: Ability to read engineering drawing and specifications. Analytical abilities in interpreting data that results in meaningful information that can be applied to improvement processes.
