Job Title: Light Commercial Carpenter – School Extension Project We are seeking an experienced and reliableLight Commercial Carpenterto join our team on the construction of a new school extension. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-quality commercial project within a professional and safety-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Measure, cut, and assemble timber and other building materials. Construct and install wall framing, partitions, roof framing, and structural components. Install doors, windows, skirting, architraves, ceilings, and other finishing carpentry. Carry out interior fit-out work to a high standard. Build temporary formwork, bracing, and site structures as required. Operate and maintain hand and power tools safely. Work collaboratively with site supervisors and other trades to meet project deadlines. Ensure all work complies with building codes, quality standards, and health and safety requirements. Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment. Complete finishing work and defect rectification prior to project handover. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in light commercial carpentry. Experience working on schools or commercial construction projects is an advantage. Ability to read and interpret construction plans. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Excellent understanding of health and safety practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliable, punctual, and motivated with a positive attitude.
