About the role As Manager - Building Control, you'llprovide strategic and operational leadership to a multidisciplinary teamresponsible for building consents, inspections, compliance activities,approvals, and property assessments.You'll oversee the performance andcontinuous improvement of our Building Consent Authority (BCA), ensuringaccreditation requirements are maintained and best practice standards areupheld. Key responsibilities include: Leading and developing a capable, engaged, andhigh-performing team Promoting a culture that reflects ourorganisational tikanga and values Providing expert regulatory advice to supportinformed decision-making across CouncilBuilding strong relationships with internal andexternal stakeholdersWorking collaboratively to resolve complexissues and achieve positive outcomes Driving service improvement and operationalexcellenceSupporting the organisation through legislativeand industry changes, including future Building Act reforms Managing risk and ensuring compliance withrelevant legislation and accreditation requirements What you’ll bring We're looking for a confident andcollaborative leader who can balance technical expertise with strong peopleleadership.
