As a company that prides itself in our supply chain and manufacturing capabilities, the role of Food Safety and Quality Manager is an important and pivotal one. The main responsibility of the role will be to provide Quality coaching and leadership across the site and to manage a team of Quality specialists. You will contribute to the management and continuous improvement of the business through the development, implementation and maintenance of policies, system and procedures in the area of Food Safety, GMP, Quality Systems and Production Quality. You will provide technical support to the site management and production teams and ensure ongoing employee commitment and compliance to all areas of Food Safety, product Quality and Regulatory Requirements. You will have experience with internal audits and quality system procedures and documentation to ensure all corrective actions are taken. It is vital you and your team ensure compliance with the company Food Safety initiatives, policies, strategies and legal requirements. It is expected you will facilitate and develop training programmes as required. Responsibilities Champion the food safety and quality agenda throughout the company’s sites Manage all training and compliance in order to meet all regulatory, customer and company requirements Drive and manage GMP, Quality systems, cleaning and sanitation programmes Provide technical liaison for customers, suppliers and manufacturing Lead and mentor a team of food safety and quality specialists Champion a culture of development and implementation of solutions to increase efficiency, performance and driving change Reporting of quality performance About You Bachelor Degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Applied Science or a related discipline Prior quality experience in a fast paced manufacturing environment (food & beverages). Preferred 8+ years experience. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills and ability to work with all levels of the organisation Knowledge of the relevant legislation and site policies Excellent interpersonal skills both written and oral Ability to build strong and positive relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders at all levels of the business Prior experience in GMP manufacturing and hands on experience with HACCP, RMP, YUM and BRC standards Ability to lead, guide and trainat all levels of the business Well honed analytical and problem solving skills Positive mindset with continuous improvement skills What's in it for you?
