The role will be a full-time role starting off at 20 hours per week and potentially progressing to more hours later. We are seeking an experienced R&D Scientist to play a key role in new product development (NPD), formulation, and product validation. This position works closely with our Sales, Brand, Compliance, Production, and Design teams to bring new ideas to life while ensuring compliance, accuracy, and manufacturability at scale. Key Responsibilities Formulation & Product Development: Create, test, and validate new product formulations, ensuring they meet performance, quality, and regulatory standards. Stay up to date on emerging industry trends, new ingredients, and innovations to ensure our products remain competitive. Collaborate with the Sales and Brand teams to transform market insights into innovative, commercially viable products. Testing & Validation: Conduct stability and performance testing on new formulations and raw materials. Validate product safety, efficacy, and compatibility for large-scale production. Maintain accurate and detailed technical documentation for all testing and validation processes. Compliance & Regulatory Support: Work closely with the Compliance Manager to ensure all products meet relevant regulatory requirements. Prepare technical data and documentation for regulatory submissions. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Provide technical guidance to the Production and Design teams to ensure formulations are optimized for manufacturability. Collaborate with the Supply Chain team to source the most suitable materials for production. Set technical standards and ensure accuracy in all product-related information. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements in formulation and manufacturing. Build and maintain a database of raw materials and formulations for future use and improvement. Key Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in R&D, formulation, or product development (experience in cosmetic field is preferred). Strong knowledge of stability testing, validation processes, and regulatory compliance. Hands-on experience with laboratory testing and product validation processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail. Effective collaboration and communication skills to work cross-functionally with multiple teams. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. #J-18808-Ljbffr
