Junior Freight Forwarder – Exports & Domestic Transport As a Junior Freight Forwarder in our Exports & Domestic Transport team, you will assist with the day-to-day coordination of export air and sea freight, along with domestic transport movements. Key responsibilities Assisting with export air and sea freight bookings Coordinating domestic freight collections and deliveries throughout New Zealand Liaising with customers, shipping lines, airlines, transport providers and overseas agents Preparing and checking export documentation Providing shipping instructions and arranging bills of lading and air waybills Sending pre-alerts and supporting documents to customers and overseas agents Monitoring vessel and flight schedules Tracking shipments and providing customers with regular updates Following up on domestic deliveries and proof of delivery Requesting rates and assisting with customer quotations About you Positive, reliable and eager to learn Highly organised with excellent attention to detail A confident written and verbal communicator Comfortable working with customers and service providers Able to manage several tasks and priorities at once Calm and practical when dealing with unexpected issues Confident using email, Microsoft Office and computer-based systems Committed to delivering excellent customer service Able to work independently and contribute to a close-knit team Genuinely interested in freight forwarding, shipping and logistics About us Speedy Freight is a 100% New Zealand-owned and operated freight-forwarding company established in 2010.
