It is a hybrid role with three days in the office and two days where you can work flexibly. What are some of the day to day tasks the person in this role will complete? Build, operate, and improve Kubernetes platforms across AWS and Azure. Automate platform operations, provisioning, patching, and compliance activities, helping drive engineering excellence and operational efficiency across the platform. Solve complex platform, reliability, and performance challenges, guiding others through problem solving and technical decision making Partner with engineering teams to improve platform adoption and self-service capabilities. Work with the team to create platform standards, documentation, and engineering guidance. Help drive improvements in security, reliability, automation, and developer experience while proactively identifying and managing technical risk. Mentor engineers through coaching, technical guidance, and knowledge sharing What is the team culture and environment like? What skills and experiences are required for this role? Kubernetes administration and operations Cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) Container technologies (Docker, OCI containers) Infrastructure as Code CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation GitOps concepts and tooling (Helm, Kustomize) Scripting and automation (Bash, Go, or similar) Observability and monitoring platforms Networking, security, and platform troubleshooting skills Linux and Vmware virtualization concepts Experience leading complex technical initiatives and influencing engineering outcomes. Strong stakeholder management, communication, and collaboration skills. Experience mentoring and developing engineers. What attributes will this person display in order to be successful in this role?
