Looking for a hands-on role where you'll programme, schedule, and run the job? We've got a spot in our Vulcan Plate team for a CNC Press Brake Programmer / Scheduler — programming and scheduling press brake jobs, then getting on the floor to run them, Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm. What you'll be doing Programming CNC press brake machines to job specifications Planning and scheduling press brake jobs to keep production running efficiently Setting up and operating CNC press brake machines on the floor Reading and interpreting technical drawings and job sheets Bending and pressing steel parts to specification Checking measurements and quality of finished work Liaising with operators and production staff to prioritise and sequence jobs Keeping machines clean and reporting any faults It's a hands‑on role — you'll be on the floor as well as at the screen, so there's lifting and manual work involved alongside the programming and scheduling. Requirements Experience programming CNC press brake machines, preferably in the steel or metal industry Experience operating CNC press brake machines on the production floor Experience with production scheduling and job planning Able to read and interpret technical drawings and job specifications Full driver's licence Overhead crane or forklift licence (F endorsement) preferred A valid work visa or the right to work in New Zealand Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test What's in it for you Full training on all equipment Long-term career opportunities in a stable, growing business Supportive team environment where your work is recognised A company that puts safety and people first Access to our employee wellness programme You don't need to meet every requirement to apply.
