Experienced Forklift Driver and Warehouse Operations We are a well-established Christchurch freight forwarder operating our own ATFs, warehouses, and storage and distribution services across Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin. Our Auckland operation is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator. A current NZ Class 2 driver licence is required due to the weight classification of the forklifts used onsite. This is primarily a warehouse and forklift role, not a truck driving position. The role requires a high level of competence in packing and unpacking containers, handling bulk timber and moving general cargo around our warehouse facility. We are looking for a reliable and flexible team player who can work independently, manage their time effectively and develop a strong understanding of our customers’ requirements. Champion Freight is an established and dynamic company with a focus on advanced Warehouse Management Systems, so good computer and IT skills are valued. Minimum requirements: Current forklift licence with F endorsement Current NZ Class 2 driver licence with a clean driving record Minimum two years’ experience operating forklifts in New Zealand Proven forklift and warehouse experience Experience handling bulk timber and general cargo Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role Ability to work independently and manage time effectively WMS software skills Good customer service and communication skills Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements Proficient written and spoken English Current legal right to work in New Zealand Must pass pre-employment criminal history, drug and alcohol checks. Advantageous skills: MPI Accredited Person accreditation Dangerous Goods endorsement or certification Experience working within an MPI Approved Transitional Facility Health and safety or other relevant industry accreditations This is a full-time role. Standard hours are generally between 6:00 am and 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday. Flexibility to work additional paid overtime or split shifts when required is essential. #J-18808-Ljbffr
