A little about us: Third Wheel Coffee Co. is a small, cozy café tucked away in Paihia, known for our specialty coffee, home-baked treats, and strong connection with our regulars. A little more on this exciting opportunity: We’re looking for a Food Prep to join our Cafe team in Paihia – help preparing our delicious and loved cabinet food (all vegetarian with a lot of vegan and gluten free options). This is a permanent, Full-Time 30 hours per week position with Monday to Wednesday (possibility to work on weekends if wanted) with shifts between 6am-3pm. What you will bring Strong baking skills with proven experience in a café or hospitality environment Excellent understanding of food safety and hygiene practices Passion and genuine love for good food, coffee, and great service. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. A positive, adaptable, and team-focused attitude. Adaptability and a positive, collaborate attitude High standard of personal presentation and hygiene What you will be doing Preparing and presenting a simple, high-quality cabinet menu that complements our coffee. Helping develop new recipes and seasonal menu items that reflect our values and customer demand. Managing stock, ordering, and reducing food waste. Ensuring food safety and health & safety compliance at all times. Supporting the front-of-house when needed – from clearing dishes to taking customer orders – and always delivering exceptional hospitality.
