Job Description
Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. This is a leadership opportunity first and foremost. Bayleys Canterbury is looking for an exceptional people leader to lead its Fendalton and Merivale residential teams - talented, ambitious sales professionals operating in two of Christchurch's most prestigious markets. Your role will be to create the environment in which great people perform at their best. You'll coach and challenge, build capability, attract exceptional talent and foster a culture that is ambitious, collaborative and commercially successful. You'll also have genuine influence over the continued growth of the business, working alongside experienced leaders and agents on strategy, major opportunities and some of Canterbury's most significant residential property transactions. Lead, coach and inspire a team of high-performing residential sales professionals Create an environment of high trust, accountability, ambition and performance Develop individual capability through regular coaching, mentoring and meaningful performance conversations Identify and attract exceptional talent, strengthening the team and building capability for the future Work alongside agents on significant client relationships, negotiations and high-value opportunities Set the commercial direction for the business, driving market share, listings, revenue and sustainable growth Play an active role in the wider Bayley's Canterbury leadership team, contributing to strategy, brand and business performance What we're looking for You'll be an accomplished and passionate people leader who gets genuine satisfaction from seeing talented people succeed. You know how to lead high performers - when to coach, when to challenge, when to get alongside someone and when to give them room to fly. You build trust quickly, set high standards and create cultures where people want to perform for themselves, their colleagues and the business. Commercially astute and naturally influential, you'll be comfortable around ambitious, successful people and able to build credibility with clients and stakeholders at the highest level. You may already be a leader within real estate, but equally, you could come from another high-performance sales, professional services or commercial environment. Real estate expertise can be learned; exceptional leadership capability is harder to teach. What is on offer This is a rare opportunity to take on a highly visible leadership position within one of New Zealand's most recognised real estate brands. You'll have the autonomy to lead, the backing of an established and successful business, and genuine scope to influence people, culture and commercial performance. You'll work with ambitious, successful people and report to an industry-recognised people leader who places a high value on leadership, development and performance. The remuneration reflects the significance of the position, with a highly competitive package including base salary, vehicle allowance and performance bonus. #J-18808-Ljbffr
