AGRICULTURAL TRACTOR & MACHINERY OPERATORS (Seasonal Harvest) Joyland Contracting Limited – Matamata, North Island We are an established agricultural contracting business operating across the Matamata-Piako region. We are gearing up for an intense silage, baling, and maize harvest season and are looking for two experienced Tractor & Heavy Machinery Operators to join our crew for the upcoming season. Our operations include a large-scale dairy farm feed contract, requiring precise feeding infrastructure management. This is a fast-paced commercial environment that relies on high-tech machinery and precision technology. Key responsibilities Operating modern, high-horsepower tractors paired with complex implements for baling and raking (round baling and 4-rotor raking) Cropping and cultivation including full paddock preparation and precision GPS planting Grass and silage mowing and silage paddock stacking Effluent management including slurry tanking and muck spreading (with GPS) Conducting daily mechanical maintenance (greasing, knife sharpening, and basic field troubleshooting) Cutting and carrying green feed, precisely calibrating daily feed allocations, and operating a mixer wagon to feed 600+ cows in herd homes Safely transporting large tractor-and-trailer configurations on public rural roads and through tight farm races About you Relevant work experience in a commercial agricultural contracting or machinery-operating environment (references required) High competency and fluency with integrated GPS guidance and Auto-Steer systems Valid NZ Class 1 full driver's licence (or equivalent international licence allowing you to legally drive in NZ) A W (Wheels) endorsement or heavy vehicle licence (Class 2/4) is highly preferred Familiarity or experience with daily dairy herd feeding operations, mixer wagons, and feed calibration is highly advantageous Total scheduling flexibility; willing and capable of working long seasonal hours, weekends, and night shifts when weather windows dictate An uncompromising attitude toward health and safety; prepared to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening What We Offer Fixed pay of $35.00 per hour Guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week with plenty of peak seasonal hours available Diverse, high-quality agricultural contracting work across the district Supportive, friendly, and hardworking team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
