Come join us and be a part of something special. ABOUT THE ROLE WE HAVE FOR YOU: We are looking for reliable go getters who want to learn and grow in the exciting metal recycling industry! On a pathway of development will join our team and learn about how to process and upgrade scrap metal to increase its value and prepare it for recycling. This is a role for an all rounder , someone who loves to do a bit of everything! On the day to day you could be serving customers in our drive thru, using your computer skills to operate our weighbridge, working at heights up on the tilter closing containers and driving the big hoist, or operating a maternal handler/exactor (with the right licenses). Basally if you hold one of these certifications, skills or qualifications we will help you gain the rest, and give you the experience you need to be a success in this exciting industry! From grading metals and helping our customers, to directing traffic in the yard and closing containers this role offers you a different day every day! If you are looking for hours we are the place to be! Our team works on a 100 fortnight, that means 47 hours one week (with Saturday and Sunday off) and 53 hours the other week (with 1/2 day Saturday and Sunday off) . Did I mention we also have an incentive program where you can earn additional $ every month on top of your excellent wages? Well, we have that too! Oh , and because we believe in celebrating our team, you will have one additional day of leave every year on your birthday! ABOUT YOU: An exceptionally reliable team player with a great sense of humor and an excellent work ethic. Comfortable and happy working at height (with harness and working at heights training provided). Basic computer skills(emails and able to use basic computer programs - with training provided) You are fit, healthy and capable of putting in a good day's work, in an outdoor environment, in all weathers. Happy to work as part of a team you are a “let's pitch in and get it done” kind of person. Being a smooth operator you always put health and safety first for every task you do. You may have experience working in an outdoor environment With a friendly can do attitude you are always happy to help our customers. It would be an advantage if you hold any of the below qualifications already Current working at heights certification Wheels or tracks endorsement (WT) and experience operating a digger or material handler 2 years experience operating a fork hoist or large hoist Don't worry if you only have one of the above, if you are smart, reliable and hardworking we will help you with a development plan to gain the rest.
