Operations Manager

This is a varied, hands-on role combining team leadership, customer service, scheduling, administration and dog handling. You'll support our handlers, maintain high standards across the business and ensure our dogs and customers consistently receive an excellent experience. Key responsibilities Lead, mentor and provide ongoing training through your senior staff and Training and Development Manager to our dog-handling team Manage staff schedules, bookings, cancellations, leave and timesheets Assist with recruitment, interviews and onboarding Maintain accurate dog, customer and operational records Manage customer communications and resolve issues professionally Coordinate walking and FarmStay bookings, invoicing and schedule changes Conduct new-dog assessments, onboarding and first-walk evaluations Monitor pack balance, dog behaviour and handler performance Manage vehicle servicing, WOFs, registrations, kilometres and accident records Coordinate equipment, systems and general operational requirements About you Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organisation and time-management skills Leadership, mentoring and customer-service capability Confidence using computer systems and managing detailed records The ability to work effectively in a busy, fast-paced environment Sound judgement and a practical, solution-focused approach Ideally one year's experience working with animals Ideally dog-handling skills and a willingness to continue learning A current restricted or full New Zealand driver licence #J-18808-Ljbffr
