We are looking for a customer-focused Customer Projects Design Engineer to manage the end-to-end delivery of customer projects, from initial enquiry through to construction readiness. This role involves scoping customer requirements and developing technically sound and commercially viable solutions for electricity supply to subdivisions, industrial developments, area-wide projects, and asset relocations. You will be responsible for preparing quotes and offers, contributing to commercial agreements, and progressing approved work into construction. A key focus is ensuring that designs are safe, cost-effective, and compliant with company and industry standards, either directly or through external specialists, and preparing work for handover to Field Operations. Success in this role requires strong communication, the ability to manage multiple projects, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure excellent customer satisfaction and accurate project delivery. Relevant qualification in electricity supply or electrical engineering; 3+ years’ experience in electricity design or project management roles within New Zealand or Australia; A good understanding of relevant legislation, regulations and industry rules relating to electricity supply; Understands and practices the principles of zero harm; Calm, professional temperament with ability to cope in pressured environments, maintain positive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues in challenging situations; Resilient and tenacious; successfully adapts to changing demands and conditions and looks for opportunities to improve the current state; Resilient and tenacious; successfully adapts to changing demands and conditions and looks for opportunities to improve the current state; Numerate and analytical; highly organised and methodical, makes decisions based on facts and analysis.
