Beyond Recruitment - Auckland, North Island Network Test Engineer - Telecom Contract: 6 months Rate: Up to $700 per day Location: Auckland, New Zealand We are looking for an experienced Network Test Engineer to join a high-performing team on a 6-month contract. This role will suit someone with strong telecom domain expertise and hands-on experience in network testing and test automation using Playwright. About the Role You will be responsible for designing and executing end-to-end testing across telecom network applications, APIs and integrated systems. You will also develop and maintain automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency and reduce manual testing effort. Key Responsibilities Design and execute end-to-end test scenarios for telecom network applications, APIs and integrated systems. Perform testing across 4G/5G networks, OSS/BSS and IMS environments. Develop and maintain Playwright-based automation frameworks for UI, API and end-to-end testing. Improve automated test coverage and reduce manual testing effort. Apply Model-Based Testing (MBT) techniques to support effective test design and coverage. Analyse and troubleshoot issues across complex telecom systems and network integrations. Work closely with development, engineering and business teams to ensure high-quality delivery. Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will have: 5 years of experience in Telecom Testing. Strong knowledge of 4G/5G, OSS/BSS and IMS. Good understanding of telecom network protocols, including SIP, Diameter and GTP. Hands-on experience with Playwright test automation. Experience testing UI, APIs and integrated end-to-end systems. Knowledge of Model-Based Testing (MBT) techniques. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a collaborative team environment.
