Kirimana is looking for experienced Welders for commercial construction, mechanical services, plumbing and industrial projects across Auckland, Waikato and Wellington. The work is with established mechanical and plumbing contractors and will involve a combination of pipe fabrication, welding and installation across large projects. Experience with mechanical pipework and ASME Section IX requirements is highly regarded; however, we're also interested in experienced welders from fabrication, structural, industrial and other relevant backgrounds who have strong transferable skills. What We're Looking For You'll work alongside experienced plumbers, pipe fitters, fabricators and mechanical teams completing welding and fabrication work across different project environments. Strong pipe welding experience is preferred, but we also want to hear from capable welders who may have the aptitude and experience to transition into mechanical applications. Weld pipework, steel and mechanical components using TIG, MIG, MMA/Stick or other relevant processes Fabricate, fit, assemble and weld piping systems, steelwork and associated components Read and interpret fabrication drawings, piping drawings, specifications and measurements Measure, cut, prepare, bevel, fit and position materials prior to welding ASME Section IX, pressure piping or mechanical welding experience is highly regarded but not essential for every opportunity Weld pipework, steel and mechanical components using TIG, MIG, MMA/Stick or other relevant processes Fabricate, fit, assemble and weld piping systems, steelwork and associated components Read and interpret fabrication drawings, piping drawings, specifications and measurements Measure, cut, prepare, bevel, fit and position materials prior to welding ASME Section IX, pressure piping or mechanical welding experience is highly regarded but not essential for every opportunity Ideally, you'll have at least 3 years' relevant welding or fabrication experience and be able to provide references supporting your work history.
