At Matamata-Piako District Council, we'relooking for an experienced Property and Facilities Advisor to help guide theplanning, management, and future development of our buildings, communityfacilities, and property assets. This is an opportunity to move beyondday-to-day facilities management and play a key role in strategic planning,asset management, and investment decisions that directly impact ourcommunities. About the Role You'll provide practical technical andstrategic advice on Council-owned buildings and facilities, contribute to assetmanagement and renewal planning, and support the development of policies,strategies, service levels, maintenance plans and long-term planning documents.You'll also help with operational and capital forecasting, and work acrossCouncil to ensure our facilities remain fit for purpose, compliant, accessible andaligned with community needs. About You We're looking for a professional withexperience in property, facilities, asset management, infrastructure, or arelated field who can combine technical expertise with strategic thinking. You will bring: Experiencemanaging or advising on property and facilities portfolios. Strongunderstanding of asset management and lifecycle planning. Knowledgeof relevant legislation and regulatory requirements. Excellentstakeholder engagement and communication skills. Theability to provide practical, evidence-based advice and recommendations. Clearreport writing and presentation skills, with the ability to present soundadvice to a range of audiences. Arelevant qualification or equivalent experience, and a full New Zealand DriverLicence.
