Do you have a few hours a week to give back and uplift the next generation? MITO is seeking a part-time casual contractor to support Pasifika learners in South Auckland through their automotive trade training. In this influential role, you’ll mentor Pasifika apprentices, empower their confidence, guide their progress, and help them achieve their goal of becoming qualified professionals. MITO supports on-job learning and career development across the automotive, road transport, extractives, gas, and logistics industries. We work closely with learners, employers, and training providers to grow a skilled and confident workforce. We’re looking for someone who: Has experience mentoring and sharing their own trade journey Builds trust and strong relationships with learners and employers Communicates with empathy and clarity Understands Pasifika cultures, values, and customs Is passionate about helping Pasifika learners succeed Has the right to live and work in New Zealand. You must be trade-qualified or have extensive experience in the automotive industry. Training will be provided for all other aspects of the role.
