About the role | Mō te tūranga The Eventsand CommunityCoordinator role is at the heart of bringing the Cancer Society's biggest fundraising events and campaigns to life. If you're someone who loves variety, thrives on meeting new people and enjoys rolling up your sleeves to make things happen, this could be the role for you. No two days are the same. One day you could be creating social media content, speaking to a room full of supporters or encouraging a local business to get involved. The next, you might be stage managing at Relay For Life, coordinating volunteers, helping deliver one of New Zealand's largest street appeals or transporting adventurous scooter riders over the Remutaka Hill. This is a hands-on role for someone with energy, initiative and a genuine can-do attitude. You'll help deliver our year-round fundraising events and campaigns while leading outreach to young and active audiences through marketing, community engagement and digital communications. It's the perfect opportunity for someone looking to build a career in events and marketing, gain experience across every stage of event delivery and make a real difference for people affected by cancer.
