Ascend Health Group – Mount Eden, North Island Ascend Health is a privately run clinical exercise rehabilitation clinic in Mount Eden, Auckland. Ascend Health strives to improve health outcomes, longevity and quality of life for individuals living with chronic health conditions through the application of gold-standard exercise assessments and evidence-based exercise programmes. About the role Ascend Health is looking for a clinical exercise physiologist (CEP) on a permanent full-time position (a part time role for the right candidate may be considered if this is preferred). You will be a motivated team player working in a privately run clinical exercise rehabilitation clinic in Mount Eden, Auckland, striving to improve health outcomes, longevity and quality of life for individuals living with chronic health conditions through the application of gold-standard exercise assessments and evidence-based exercise programmes. Key responsibilities Develop and implement evidence-based exercise programmes that are safe for patients with varied chronic health conditions Supervise 1-1 and small group-based exercise sessions Provide lifestyle counselling/education, and foster a supportive exercise environment to promote behaviour change and re-build confidence for patients Implement evidence-based practice and clinical judgement Conduct comprehensive exercise assessments such as cardiopulmonary exercise assessments with 12-lead ECG monitoring Run various musculoskeletal assessments including measures of muscular strength, endurance, balance and flexibility Produce well-developed written reports About you Minimum of a Postgraduate Degree in Clinical Exercise Physiology (essential) Current basic life support (BLS) certificate (essential) Ability to develop and implement evidence-based exercise programmes that are safe for patients with varied chronic health conditions Ability to supervise 1-1 and small group-based exercise sessions Well-developed oral and written communication skills and proficient skills in report writing Confident in using Microsoft word, excel and power point Registration with CEPNZ is preferable as is a current APC with CPRB – or working towards one Experience with Cliniko and Heidi (advantageous but not essential) Clinical experience > 1 year working (advantageous but not essential) You can find the job description Applications close: 22/08/24 Applicants are encouraged to apply as soon as possible as the position is being actively recruited for and is looking to be filled as soon as possible #J-18808-Ljbffr
