Star Personnel – Auckland airport, North Island We're looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead our clients 3PL Warehouse and Air Export teams within a busy freight forwarding and logistics environment. This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who enjoys working alongside their team, leading from the front, and setting high standards every day. You'll be a firm but fair leader who builds a positive, high‑performing culture while driving accountability and continuous improvement. You'll have a strong improvement mindset, identifying opportunities to enhance productivity, safety, customer service and operational efficiency, and implementing practical solutions that deliver results. Hands‑on air export experience is essential, including physically building and loading airline ULDs (Unit Load Devices). You'll be expected to support the team while ensuring airline, customer and compliance requirements are consistently met. About the role You'll take ownership of the day-to‑day running of both the 3PL Warehouse and Air Export operation, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, accurately and on time. You'll spend your time on the warehouse floor supporting your team, coordinating workflow, solving operational issues as they arise, and maintaining high standards across safety, productivity and customer service. You'll also play a key role in improving the operation by identifying root causes of issues, streamlining processes, improving system utilisation, and implementing initiatives that enhance operational performance. Your ability to lead change and develop your team will be critical to your success. What You'll Be Doing: Work alongside the team to ensure daily targets and customer deadlines are consistently achieved. Lead the day‑to‑day 3PL Warehouse and Air Export operations. Supervise and actively support the safe and accurate build‑up and loading of airline ULDs. Act as the operational subject matter expert for 3PL warehousing and air export handling. Coach, mentor and develop team members, creating a culture of accountability, ownership and continuous improvement. Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying root causes and implementing practical, sustainable process improvements. Improve warehouse workflows, operational disciplines and system utilisation. Monitor productivity, inventory accuracy, quality and operational KPIs. Ensure compliance with customer requirements, airline standards and company procedures. Champion health and safety best practice throughout the operation. What You Have to Offer the Role: Proven leadership and strong understanding of freight forwarding, 3PL, Export Air, logistics, warehousing and supply chain operations. Experience with managing a team of up to 10 people. Extensive hands‑on experience building and loading airline ULDs within an air export environment. Demonstrated success improving operational processes, increasing efficiency and driving positive cultural change. A proactive leader who enjoys identifying problems, finding solutions and improving the way work is done. A firm but fair approach to leadership style with the willingness to work alongside your team, with strong coaching, performance management and people development skills. Customer‑focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service. Strong communication, planning and organisational skills. Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology. Reach, Counter Balance and Man Up experience Must pass a pre‑employment drug test and have no criminal convictions Whats on Offer: Competitive salary of $95,000 – $115,000, depending on experience.
