HEALTHCARE ASSISTANT (HCA) CAREGIVER (LEVEL 4) JA Crossley Holdings Ltd – North Shore, North Island To deliver Quality Care to the Residents of this facility, in accordance with relevant care standards and current good and safe practice, duty schedules, and in an attitude of co-operation and helpfulness. The HCA will have a wide range of technical or scholastic skills, and will have choice in procedures used, in familiar and unfamiliar contexts. Will be self-directed, under broad guidance, with complete responsibility for quantity and quality of output for themselves and with possible responsibility for the output of others. Key responsibilities Work collaboratively to support the health and wellbeing of a person with complex needs Implement person-centred approaches to support a person with complex needs Take a leadership role Recognise and respond to signs of vulnerability and abuse Demonstrate ethical and professional behaviour Provide person-centred care under the direction and delegation of a health professional Recognise and respond to change Provide person-centred support to maximise independence Work within the responsibilities and boundaries of their role Ensure that all routine cares are delivered as per resident's care plans including, showering, dressing, mobilising, grooming, nutritional assistance About you New Zealand Certificate in Health & Wellbeing (Level 4) – Health Assistance, Aged Care, or equivalent recognised caregiver qualification, OR at least three years NZ experience Ability to work flexible rosters and adapt to shift changes Clean New Zealand Police vetting (required for work with vulnerable adults) Two professional referees, including one Clinical or Facility Manager Demonstrated honesty, reliability and commitment to resident wellbeing Commitment to helping Residents in a continuing care environment Physical fitness and a commitment to maintain this A caring considerate attitude and responsiveness to the care of the Elderly Understanding of Residents rights, Advocacy and privacy About us Crossley Court and Orewa Beach Rest Homes are privately owned, 45-bed aged-residential care facilities in sunny Orewa.
