Job Description

Jora New Zealand will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey. You run at high tempo and thrive on high performance. You live and breathe the A+D specification world. You'd rather meet as many people as possible, face to face, than stay quiet. You can focus amidst the chaos, not just in the calm and quiet. You push through on the toughest days, rather than easing off. You want the team win ahead of the personal win. You step in to help your colleagues when the going gets tough. You're GSD: no excuses, growth mindset, solution before excuse. You get a real kick from giving customers exceptional service. A day in the life of a specification consultant at VidaSpace... Some days you're in Auckland doing the rounds, visits back-to-back across the city. Other days you're out of the region and you've packed your visits tight from morning to evening. Either way, you're on the road more than you're at a desk. The day starts early, clearing emails before you're out the door, then packing the car with samples for whoever's on the list. From there it's driving across the city, sometimes more than once, fitting in lunch wherever you can, and taking calls in between visit. Leads come in through email and inbound calls too, so you're juggling that alongside your own pipeline, trying to lock in appointments while staying on top of what's already moving. By the time you're back at the office, it's into Pipedrive, logging everything from the day's meetings and clearing any tasks that came out of them, before you're set up to do it again tomorrow. Travel isn't constant, but every couple of months you're away overnight, out of the main centres and into the wider patch. The rest of the time it's day trips. Not every day goes to plan. Someone cancels last minute, you're crossing the city more than once chasing appointments, lunch doesn't happen, and your phone's ringing while you're trying to pack the car for a trip away. You leave later than you wanted and get home later too. That's part of the job, and you push through it rather than letting it throw your week.
