Job Description
We are looking for a Churn Room Operator to join our afternoon shift production team at NZ Creameries in East Tamaki. This role is responsible for operating the ice cream churn room safely and efficiently, helping ensure our products are made to the required quality, appearance and food safety standards. You will work as part of the wider production team to support smooth production flow, maintain process control, minimise downtime, maximise yield and complete accurate production records. What you’ll be doing Operate the ice cream churns safely and efficiently in line with the production schedule. Work with the production team to keep product moving and maintain quality standards. Complete required production, cleaning and quality checks accurately. Keep the churn room clean, hygienic and well organised. Follow food safety, health and safety, and hygiene requirements at all times. Raise any equipment, product or process issues promptly so they can be addressed. What We're Looking For Experience in food manufacturing, dairy, FMCG or a similar production environment. Ability to follow procedures and complete records accurately. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to food safety and quality. A practical, safety-focused approach with good problem‑solving skills.
