Kaitaia Hospital Accident & Medical Department Permanent, full time or part time positions working Monday Sunday rostered shifts. Be part of a team providing clinical triage nursing for Kaitaia Hospital after hours. About the Role The Accident & Medical Registered Nurse role is to meet the Emergency needs of patients/turoro/tangata whai ora and their family/whanau using contemporary nursing care which is safe, appropriate and effective. The care is based on comprehensive assessment, ensures continuity and is patient/turoro/tangata whai ora centred, culturally sensitive and evidence-based. Click here for view the position description. About the Team/Service/Location Kaitaia Hospital is Health New Zealands northernmost hospital. It is a general hospital serving a widely scattered population. The 20 bed hospital has a general ward, maternity and emergency ward with all the supporting services, and provides a substantial community health service. The Accident and Medical Department is fully functional for presentations in evenings and weekends. They work on a shift roster which will involve evenings and weekends. About you Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual Practicing Certificate Current full drivers licence Time management skills Collaborates with fellow team members and work groups to achieve specific objectives Communication skills both written and verbal A commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Maori Previous experience in a rural clinical setting would be beneficial, however not essential to apply.
