We are seeking experienced Motel Managers, this position is suited for a couple to join Aspen On King in Timaru, Canterbury. To start late October 2026. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the overall management and operations of our motel facility. As Motel Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, maintaining high operational standards, and driving the commercial success of the property. This role is essential to our business, as you will be the key leader responsible for all aspects of motel management, from staff supervision and guest satisfaction. Key responsibilities Oversee daily motel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance grounds/ Garden Manage and supervise all staff members, including recruitment, training, scheduling, and performance management Ensure exceptional guest service standards and handle guest relations and complaints professionally Maintain cleanliness and maintenance standards throughout the property to exceed guest expectations Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies Manage inventory, supplies, and procurement for the motel What we’re looking for Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent customer service orientation and ability to manage guest relations Sound financial acumen with experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue management Knowledge of motel management systems and proficiency with computer applications Strong organisational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Understanding of health and safety requirements and compliance standards in hospitality Communication skills and ability to liaise effectively with staff, guests What we offer At Aspen On King, committed to creating a positive and supportive work environment. opportunities for professional development within the hospitality industry, and the chance to be part of a well-regarded motel business.
