Morden is a locally owned construction consultancy that works on projects nationwide supporting clients to plan, procure and deliver commercial, civic and infrastructure projects. Due to continued growth, Morden are looking for an Intermediate level QS. You will be joining a committed team that have built a reputation for excellence and are respected within the Wellington construction industry. Responsibilities Cost planning and estimating Prepare tender docs, scope breakdowns, and pricing schedules Contract administration Cost management reporting - monthly reporting including cost to complete, cash flow forecasts and risk adjustments. Risk management Liaising with and building positive relationships with designers, clients, contractors and the internal team. Skills and experience required Ideally five years' experience working as a QS in NZ - preferably in consultancy or contracting. Strong analytical and financial reasoning skills A high level of proficiency in MS Excel and measurement software (CostX) Familiarity with NZ Standard forms of contract, particularly NZ3910. Cost planning experience across multiple project stages. A high level of of professional communication - both written and oral. The ability to be adaptable and calm under pressure. Be capable of working autonomously but also collaborate when needed. You will be joining a well run and professional team with a solid pipeline of work in new offices in Lower Hutt CBD. Everyone has their birthday off, a car park and after five years working for Morden you receive an additional week's leave . Project work ebbs and flows - there may be additional hours but as a rule the team works a 40 hour week. The salary is from $100,000 to $120,000, depending on your relevant experience.
