Working alongside ourOrganic Market Gardener, you will gain valuable hands-on experience in an established organic market garden while building practical skills and technicalknowledge of organic horticulture. This is an excellent opportunity for someonelooking to develop a career in the industry, with exposure to all aspects ofsmall-scale organic food production, from planning and planting through toharvesting and maintenance. Working incollaboration with Millbrook’s chefs, the Market Garden helps provide seasonalorganic produce for our restaurants while contributing to the unique five-starguest experience we are known for. Whatwill your day look like? Assisting with the preparation,planting, cultivation and harvesting of seasonal organic produce Supporting the ongoingmaintenance and development of the Market Garden, orchard and surroundinggrowing areas Learning and applying organichorticulture practices, including soil management, pest management andsustainable growing techniques Assisting with produce delivery,record keeping and general operational tasks within the garden Maintaining high standards ofpresentation, health and safety, and environmental sustainability Working closely with the OrganicMarket Gardener and wider resort teams to support the success of the MarketGarden operation Whatmakes you right for the role? You have a genuine passion fororganic horticulture and are committed to developing a career in the industry Previous practical experience inhorticulture, home gardening or orchard maintenance would be advantageous You have a strong interest inenvironmental sustainability and organic growing practices You are eager to learn newskills, take direction and continually develop your knowledge You are a confident communicatorwith a positive, can-do attitude You can work independently usingyour initiative while also contributing effectively as part of a team You have strong problem-solvingand time management skills You are physically fit andcapable of carrying out manual handling duties A relevant horticulturequalification is advantageous A valid NZ work visa is required Full clean NZ Drivers Licencedesirable.
