Automotive Service Technician and Mechanic Vineyard Workshop Mechanic Location: Seddon - Marlborough Do you enjoy getting stuck in, solving problems, and keeping machinery running when it matters most? We're looking for a practical, mechanically minded person to join our team and play a critical role in keeping machinery fixed and safe. NZ owned and operated - be part of a proudly local business Learn on the job - work alongside highly experienced workshop mechanics Make a real impact - your work directly supports our vineyard teams to get the job done We offer Southern Cross, a generous wine allowance, a day off on your Birthday and an active social club About the role As a Vineyard Workshop Mechanic you'll be responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of vineyard machinery and equipment. Your work ensures everything is running safely, efficiently, and ready to perform during key seasonal periods like harvest and pruning. This is a hands-on role where your practical skills and problem-solving ability will be put to good use every day. What you'll be doing Diagnosing faults and repairing tractors and vineyard machinery Carrying out routine servicing and preventative maintenance Maintaining engines, hydraulics, transmissions, and electrical systems Supporting vineyard operations by ensuring machinery is ready when needed Assisting with setup and calibration of vineyard implements Modifying or fabricating equipment to improve efficiencyKeeping the workshop clean, organized, and safe Managing tools, parts, and maintenance records What we're looking for someone: Mechanically minded and hands-on Ideally experienced with agricultural or vineyard machinery Strong problem solver who can work independently Reliable and adaptable, especially during busy seasonal periods A great team player with good communication skills Ideally, you'll also have: A trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Engineering, Diesel Mechanics or similar What makes this role special?
